Im A Hands On Type Of Girl

I have always been intrigued by the idea of driving gloves. I understand that people wore than back in the day when steering wheels were wooden or made of metal and that they may have not had a heating system in their automobiles, but I still really want a pair.

I wonder how silly I would look wearing them while driving my CR-V (that already has a steering wheel cover) in the middle of summer…

Perhaps I will wait till it gets cold again to wear these fine Dunhill driving gloves

My Heart Just Skipped A Beat

No no, those aren't the Stella McCartney Mesh Sandals. No, these babies are by BEBE at the very affordable price of $139.00. Apparently they also had them in white which sold out in hours, and i can see why. Other than the use of shiny patent on the black ones, they are really quite lovely.

Compare to the real deal at $995

It Has Taken Over Me Completely

I am currently reading Love in the Time of Cholera.

I wanted to read the book before i saw the movie (knowing full well i will most likely be disappointed with the movie), but that has taken a backseat due to my new obsession:I know im a little late on the Twilight craze, but I just got around to watching the movie this past weekend. I watched it 3 times in a row and have become completely obsessed. I have now decided to dedicate all my reading time to the entire series. I feel like a crazy 16 year old fan, but i cant resist. Please tell me you understand.

Best Birth Control Out There

Saturday: The Aquarium of the Pacific/Playground at Seal Beach
I yelped quite loudly when this lorikeet decided to land on my hand for some nectar.

Sunday: Gathering of New Born Babies
Not triplets. 3 friends got pregnant within a month time frame. Lodi Peaches representing the Westside.

Monday: Disneyland

Tuesday: Got Tubes Tied (not really)

I actually had a wonderful weekend. The babies/kids i spent the weekend with were all so precious, beautiful, and well behaved. Thank the lord.

Sun Dried Tomato Pesto - Thanks Chris!

My friend Chris lives in New Orleans, but comes out to CA to visit quite frequently. He loves to cook, but since he doesn't have a kitchen where he stays during his visits, i invited him to work on a collaboration dinner. I make happy meatballs (cuz we're addicted) and he makes sun dried tomato pesto with linguine.

Now that I know how easy pesto is to make, especially with my magic bullet (not that "magic bullet" ladies), I will be making some again very soon. Of course it will be on a night when calories won’t be on the mind. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get pictures of the step by step process.

The basic ingredients are lots of fresh chopped basil, extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, salt, and roughly chopped sun dried tomatoes in olive oil. While the water is boiling, puree all of the dry ingredients together in some sort of food processor in a few pulses while slowly adding the olive oil. We used some olive oil from the sun dried tomato jar to add more flavor. I don’t have measurements because he just eyeballed it. Here is a easy pesto recipe i found online.Once the pasta is just about al dente, add the pesto sauce into a large pan with some more chopped sun dried tomatoes over low heat. Add the pasta to the pan and toss to coat evenly. Plate and sprinkle some cheese on top. Eat alone or serve with Happy Meatballs.

WR2BAM/MilkItHoney Pt. 2

Finally! The rest of the pictures from my afternoon with Sara of WR2BAM. Yes, I am wearing two diy studded projects at the same time, but I couldn’t resist. I am finally going to get some wear out of that black denim skirt that had been neglected in the closet for who knows how long.

This is our Asian gang pose.

My mom just treated me to lunch on my break. I love my family, but there’s something about spending time with them that makes me just want to take a long nap afterward.

It's a World of Laughter, A World or Tears

We will be taking my friend's 3 year old to Disneyland for the first time and Im not sure who's more excited, me or the kid. I just can’t wait to see the look on his adorable little face.

Just the thought of walking around that place for hours upon hours made my feet ache, so I decide I would have to wear my gym sneakers (which are not cute). And if I wear my gym sneakers, I might as well freaking sport a visor and fanny pack right? I mean, that’s what 99% of the people there are going to be wearing anyway, who cares if im dressed like a dorky tourist.

But then I saw these on Colette.fr:
Jean Charles De Castelbajac Mickey Sequins Dress $1864.46

Jean Charles De Castelbajac Free-Lance Court Shoes $603.98

F*ck the sneakers! A sequin Mickey dress and matching pumps will do just fine...with the visor, of course!

Stay tuned till next week to see what I actually end up wearing…
